A4 quattro clutch
Discussion
Hi,
just bought a '97 A4 TDi quattro (my second Audi, following a '92 S2 Coupe). It's done 129k miles. It's basically OK but needs a few things doing. Anyway I'm looking for a bit of help on the following please:
The clutch biting point is near the top of the pedal's travel - I'm assuming the clutch is on the way out. The pedal also vibrates with engine revs though, when the clutch is engaged, not when depressed. Is this the dreaded dual mass flywheel?... Or something else? (Thrust bearing?)
Finally is there any adustment on the clutch mechanism to adjust the biting point?
Cheers for any help,
Ben.
