Hi guys im new here so please help if u can i own an A4 2.0t fsi quattro which is nigh on
fully loaded but no heated mirrors.I asked my local main dealer if they could be retrofitted but he said no as the mirror glass was heated but there would be no wiring to connect up to.He also said i would be changing the original spec and this could effect the warranty which audi frown on, any help?

that is the opposite of what I discovered last week!
Some moron drove into my wing mirror, and when I paid £37 for a new glass with plastic backing, the guy said - " at least now you'll have a heated mirror", he said the wires were there on all cars, but plain glass was fitted in cheaper models (ie my tdi 130 a4 avant!)
strange....

Dunno how it works on VAG cars but on my clio the heated mirrors are activated when you put the heated rear screen on - worth a try anyway!

Hi all, 1st post here, I believe (from another Audi forum) that most cars come with the wiring already in place.

To ease your mirrors out, use the rotate until they point skywards. Gently use a firm plastic ruler starting from one end insert about 0.5cm under the mirror and gently prise along the bottom edge. It will eventually come out.

Look for the two connectors (pink plugs) which will be on the back of the mirror on a dummy plastic connector.

If they are there then a quick trip to vagparts.com order your heated mirrors and swap then around (approx £50 job done)

Hook the heated mirror to these - it does not matter which goes on which connector (there are two).

Gently push the mirror back onto the mounting
Hope this helps
Cheers
