VW warning light reset HELP
Discussion
Assuming you have one of the Mk4 Golfs/Boras do this . . .
Disconnect the battery for half an hour.
This will clear the faults.
When you reconnect, turn he key to position 1.
You'll hear a whirring sound from the engine bay which is the throttle body aligning itself.
Once this stops (normally a couple of minutes) start the car as normal.
Apparently it takes a few days for the ECU to learn your drving style again.
I've done this a couple of times now.
I got the information from www.ukmkivs.net
Hope this helps
