1. Do it yourself. Buy a piston wind back tool for around £25 & OEM parts from your local Europart/German Swedesh French

Plenty of 'How To' information on www.ukmkivs.net & www.vwvortex.com

Failing that . .

2. Buy the parts & get a local independent to do the work.

At all costs avoid VW dealers & £90+ p/h labour rates, not to mention the mark up on parts.

Next time my Golf needs this doing I'm going to have a go myself.

My GT TDI went in for Discs and Pads on the weekend ... 72,000 miles and I certainly havnt changed them in the last 40,000 miles!!

Took it to a local back ally garage, non OEM parts, but it took them 25 mins to change the rears and the fronts.
Total Price for Front and rear Disks, Pads and labour ... £200

A total of 30 Minutes and I was sat back in the driver's seat
