anybody chiped there tdi ????

bought a golf tdi 150 a week ago ,before i bought it i had full intentions of a chip upgrade and still have , just wondered if anybody has had problems with there's and has anyone done the full 210bhp/300ft conversion ??? . even without the chip it not bad (well actually it's quicker than my old st170)!!!

Mine is circa 170bhp out of a 130TDI. more than quick enough. 210 is crazy power !!!

Chipped my 130 tdi A3.. The difference was pretty drastic. traction control going mental into 4th gear! Loved it. Great milage, great performance, and very much a bit of a sleeper! I'd go for it...

I chipped my old 130TDI Golf resulting in 176bhp on rolling road, 'twas great fun has to be said but traction control did seem to come in all the time. Changed it the spring for a new 140TDI A3 Quattro with definite intentions of chipping once it is all run in!

Just watch out for smoke caused by overfuelling. I've seen some new VWs which would put a clapped out double decker to shame, even at cruise. Yeuk!

I am considering to chip my 2,0 TDI DSG. I am promised a 35% increase in both horsepower and torque for just 450£.
I am a bit concerned whether the clutch / DSG-gearbox can handle so much extra power

Remapped PD130's are notorious for eating clutches as the torque figures go well over factory limits. Not a clue about the PD140 though.

I know 1 or 2 tuners were testing DSG boxes to see how far they could push them in order to set a max torque limit...

Hi my brother in law has just taken delivery of his A3 S Line Quattro he has had the performance chip done at the dealer taking it to 186 bhp it is a quick car and very nice to drive.

60,000 miles in mine now and cvlutch is still strong.
Managed to get through a set of brake disks though

Chipped my mk4 30bhp golf with a plug and play box from ebay. The difference was huge and problem free. Lower mpg, better acceleration and no long wait for the power to come on up the rev band. Recomended.

Opps, for some reason the number one key on the laptop only works some of the time... no realy, honest. So, er 130bhp to some more (160 ???)and much more fun to drive.

Any ideas of the cost of chipping a 52 plate A3 TDi (130 I think) up to around 170 / 185 or so - recommendations as to who I should take it to as well?

Anyone done an 110 A6 TDi. I may be interested in buying an A6 Avant TDi. Prices for 110 models are lower than 130 and they seem to be less desirable. Is it just a case of buying 110 and chipping to 130 for £400 - £500?

I have been looking into an upgrade to my diesel 105 bhp mk 5 golf, spoke to Revo technic, they are just about to release the software remap for the mk 5 which should take the bhp up by 40. has anyone used revo before ???

This is my first contact with the 'GASSING STATION', my best mate has a 150bhp and has had his boosted to 212bhp. He's been running for a month now and is amazed, no problems and definitely no going back.....
I have a 130bhp Passat which now runs at around 180bhp again no probs apart from the odd traction control hickup but i have noticed that having previously used a little device to fool the computer into thinking the engine is running cooler the acceleration isn't as instantaneous... does anyone know if i can refit this device? i bought it off ebay and it claimed to increase bhp by up to 20bhp which it did.

^^^ where did your friend get the chip that gave him 212hp? I would be v.interested in doing the same.
