Having already posted about our ongoing problems with our golfs (Gearbox gone at 7000miles???) our customer services mgr is sending his back after a year. Of the four we have, they all have their airbag lights on right now. His (being the gearbox gone car) was in for 2 and a half weeks getting the airbag fault fixed, he did 200kms and the light bing'd back into life. Mine got a new sensor, but that only lasted a few thousand kms, so couldn't be arsed and, like everyone else, just drive it regardless (no need to point out the obvious dangers). As it's a lease car, it's a helluva lot easier for him to throw it back at the lease company, but the problem still persists. With all our Golfs. Does anyone know whats going on? VW don't know (or they're just not saying) and obviously the leasor hasn't a breeze.

Rapidly loosing confidence in VW build quality.
