Mk2 Golf GTI clocks
Discussion
The motometer clocks in my Mk2 Golf GTI have packed up, the rev counter has failed, and the MFA computer has failed, as well as the oil light and all that sort of stuff. My research has suggested to me its a common problem, and most easily sorted by getting a new set of clocks, preferably VDO clocks.
So... I bought some on ebay, for a fiver. I assume they are VDO.
Mine is a big bumper 1991 Mk2, and the original clocks went up to 140, the clocks i've bought go up to 120. Will these clocks fit straight in, or is there something else i'll be needing to do to get them working? I've read that the connections are different on them?

If they speedo reads up to 120 then I would presume them to be very early Mk2 Golf clocks. Think A reg and B reg.
The speedo would still be accurate and the speedo cable will be the same.
I'm not sure the the electronic plugs would be the same though. Best thing to do is have a look and see.
