I own a 5 year old TT Roadster 225.

Anyone experienced this before: I start the engine and get 3 or 4 short sharp beeps coming from rear parcel shelf (on left hand side as I sit behind the wheel). V strange, no idea what it can be, no faults displaying on dash and alarm appears to be functioning OK. Suggestions welcome!

Does it have Reversing Sensors? as these sometimes make strange noises if they're malfunctioning.

No reversing sensors but I do have the CD multi-changer. If thats the source, that"ll be a weight off my mind!

Dunno...I was just thinking what might be under the parcel shelf on the passenger side. Try starting the engine with the Passenger seat forward, and the cubby hole tray out (Poss with CD mag removed too).

It would at least rule it out if nothing else!

Yep, its the alarm back up battery.

Everything's okay as long as it isn't happening every day. Fit a new one if that's the case.

If mine's not been driven for 4-5 days or so it does it sometimes. Weather turning a little colder (although not today!) may be making things worse.
