How low can you go?

Hi, I was wondering how low you can lower a mk2 golf with big bumpers before you start having problems with speed bumps, driveways etc..

my cousins is down 60mm on 16" rims with no probs but a friend has gone down 60 on 15" rims and it is very close and does scrap occasionley

Minus 40mm is I think the practical limit for b road driving & every day motoring, even at that height speed humps etc are a pain.

Have just bought so 15" rims with low profile tyres, and am thinking about dropping 50mm. I hope i'll b alright with speed bumps!

my 16v mk2 used to be at about 66-75mm...
