I'm considering a Cupra Ateca VZ3 as next 3yr personal lease option - currently got Tiguan R-line 150bhp.

Any owenership experiences?
Is the Formentor a better car? (need to consider large dog / tip runs / business miles)
Is the Ateca model due for replacement - will it start looking outdated in the 3yr lease period

I have a 21 reg Cupra Ateca and absolutely love it, It is 300 bhp so can get off it's mark and can guzzle fuel but what big engine car doesn't.
I would recommend it.

I picked up a 2022 VZ2 a couple of months ago. Too early for long term ownership experiences but so far so good. It is more practical than a Formentor (big boot - though if the spare wheel is added it reduces the size a bit), and benefits from still having physical controls for the climate control and stuff compared to the Formentor!

Drives well, reasonable mpg possible on a sedated cruise in comfort mode, but pretty thirsty if going for it or doing lots of short trips/town driving. They are getting on a bit now - production was due to stop around now if I recall but has been extended for another year. The Terramar replaces it but they will seemingly be sold alongside for a while yet.

The Cupra Ateca seems scarce as in there are not that many going about , where the Formentor is more common.
I really like the shape of the Ateca as I think it stands out and looks good .
The 150 bhp will be better on fuel so possibly about the same as Tiguan.
We also have a T Roc 150 r line and get better mpg but I do not think it is as comfy as Ateca .
Take one for a test run , you will love it.
