I took delivery of of my Cupra Leon 1.5 TSI in March and had a few issues with the infotainment system. These latest issues are making it a nightmare to drive the car. I’m getting the following errors on the display:

- Information call: you need a licence. Please contact your dealer.
- Breakdown call: you need a licence. Please contact your dealer.

I’m also getting a voice coming through the speakers saying “this service is deactivated”. This voice is loud and you can’t reduce the volume. I’m also getting beeping and the radio/carplay cutting out.

I’ve also had errors with the interior lights illuminating on their own. When this happens and I switch them off, they come straight back on. Drove all the way to work last week while it was still dark with the interior lights on.

I’ve had issues with the rear parking camera not working. This fixed itself when I restored to factory settings, but no such luck with all the other issues.

The only place I can take it for a repair is the Seat Arnold Clark in Glasgow, but they can’t take it for 6 weeks. Seat finance have also been worse than useless.

Does anybody have any ideas of what the issues might be? I can’t face another 6 weeks of this.

I drive a VW caddy and have had similar issues. The interior lights keep turning on and off by themselves which is annoying as they're bright leds, there's also a spanner symbol which it thinks I keep pressing which makes a voice play through the speakers telling me 'this service is deactivated'

I assume a lot of VAG group vehicles share the same touch sensitive system so it must be a common fault but it's driving me insane

Why dont you call Seat assist ? tell them what the cars doing they usually send someone same day l, who will likely confirm workshop visit needed, which will bypass the waiting list you'll also get a hire car for the duration
Did it a lot when I had my golf 8 !
