We have 2019 VW T-Cross. The Sat Nav always points North so it looks like you are driving in a straight line from your start point. When I attach my Android phone Google maps works fine, but when my wife does the same with her iPhone the problem still occurs on her Google maps.
Any ideas?

If the sat nav always points north then surely going east you're heading left across the screen or do you mean the direction you're heading is always at the top of the screen confused

Anyway, in Maps on the phone go to Settings / Navigation Settings & toggle "Keep map north up" on or off (that's on Android but I'd expect iPhone to be the same) thumbup

On the inbuilt Sat Nav no matter what direction I drive it thinks I'm going north. If I drive from home to the supermarket 6 miles away when I arrive at the supermarket the Sat Nav has gone 6 miles due north from my house. On the screen it looks like I'm driving in a straight line north through houses, fields, rivers, etc. The compass always says N. Does that make sense?

Ah, gotcha. That's weird. No idea I'm afraid. GPS aerial disconnected maybe? Sounds like one for the dealer probably.

I'd find a local vw specialist that can scan it with vcds - i'm guessing something giving no signal or disconnected would show up?

or do some googling and find out where the signal comes from? the shark fin aerial?
