Who do you use for your insurance and what are you paying? Trying to get insured on a 2023 car, I’m 52 with 20 years NCB and no points. I’m getting quotes of £1100! That seems a bit steep to me. Was expecting less than £1k to be honest.
Wow that's a lot, try LV, my RS6 is cheaper then thatMines with Aviva 22 reg. owned from new last years renewal was £495 slight increase on £420 the first year, this years renewal was £832 reduced to £690 with accepting £750 excess.
Age mid 60s, me and wife, 6k mls per annum, 16 years no-claims rural Cheshire, insurance prices have gone crazy last 12 months if it goes up much more I'II be getting rid.

Price seems the norm in todays world. I just renewed my A4 Quattro, just a 2.0 TDi. 41 years old, no points etc - £650 was the cheapest I could get, up from £440 last year. I checked a Q7 and that was £880 and suspect a performance model such as the RS3 would have me at £1500. These are sorts of numbers I used to pay when was 18!
As for shopping around I looked at the comparison websites (all of the major ones), checked Direct Line and contacted a broker. I don't think there is much else that can be done other than leasing one with insurance and maintenance included.
edit to add - i live in the couuntryside outside Cambridge, hardly a bad area for insurance purposes I would not have thought.

I live in one of the villages surrounding Cambridge and my £125K Audi R8 V10 Performance Plus with Admiral costs £645 on a 2 car policy. I am 66, 30 plus years NCB, but 13 years is all Admiral will accept, and do not have to have a tracker. Worth pointing out that LV would not insure the R8 but did insure a 991.2 Targa 4 GTS for £195. The quotes for insurance often don't make any sense!
