VW Passat B8 - 1.6TDI - (are al 1.6 TDI's dodgy ?)

Hi All,

Just a quick one, I'm looking at a cheap B8 Passat (2015) and seen a few with the 1.6TDI 120ps engine in them, will mainly just be used for longer runs 20+ miles

I understand the 1.6TDI has been plagued by a few issues with the most common being the injector issues. I was wondering if the injector affected all VW 1.6TDi's including the "newer" one in the B8 Passats ? Are they best avoid or are they ok ?

In my experience with Caddys using the similar engine it applies to years and variants
