Does anybody know where this fits on my passenger seat
Discussion
Hi there peeps
As the title says "Does anybody know where this fits on my passenger seat".
I had cause to take out the passenger seat of my vehicle to find the source of a water leak which had accumulated in the passenger footwell, this item (seen in the images) fell onto the floor.
I have tried Google images with "audi a3 seat components 8p1" and can not see anything that resembles it whatsoever.
If a member supplied an image of a passenger seat frame with an arrow pointing to the item I would be pleased.
It measures 135mm x 12mm, composed of metal & plastic, finally, it is spring-loaded, on the image "seat unit 2" on the left-hand side is the spring's location.

Looks like it sits in the base rail and stops the seat in its previous position after you lift the seat forward to let a passenger into the back seat.

Hi there BarryPart number 1K3-881-064
At long last, I have finally started to re-fit my seat, what with rain and various other problems, plus I have been installing my new media centre.
So I printed off your advice (many thanks) so with the unit and the image I tried to fit the seat and at the same time fit this little b * * * * r and try at as I might I just could not locate where it fits.
I turned the image upside down with no luck I looked at the front & rear of the seat rail with no luck.
So can I respectfully ask you to supply a definitive location on the seat rail and whether the seat should be fully back or fully forward ?
I look forward to your response.
Kind regards
Tony
