Golf MK8 Navigation Not Available Issue

Our 2021 Golf MK8 has started to crackle once when opening the door and the infotainment comes to life, from the centre speaker. When I bought it the binacle display of sat nav worked for about 15 minutes so I think the vendor reset this until the fault came up when I drove home. Now displays navigation not available in the binacle if you select that display and a soft reset didn't sort it.

Google has limited info but points towards the SOS module, or needing a software update. Has anyone experienced this issue. I am thinking the next service should be done at VW and ask them to take a look, hopefully they might upgrade the software. Early 2020 Golfs had the SOS unit replaced, although we are luckily only getting this one fault as there are reports of ACC issues and the unit constantly calling for help!

Go to the dealer there may be oustanding recalls because mine is 21 plate which I bought just over year ago second hand
I started getting the Travel Assist and SOS Unavailable dings(Bing Bongs). plus issues with the sat nav going blank or system resetting
They had the for two days did a full reset and loaded the latest software that did not fix it
Then they replaced the steering wheel and it fixed all the issues you need to push them because it is a know fault for them to do this
My dealer has been very good with the above

Just spoke to VW Letchworth and they told me there are 2 outstanding recalls, will need the car for 2 days. No charge if they have the car for these recalls, health check and free wash. Car is out of warranty so this is great. Could be new SOS module and steering wheel maybe. Thanks for the prompt to give them a ring.
