Superb 280

Anyone one run one ? I had a test drive in one at the weekend and while it was a very nice car and reminded me of an old Saab 9-5 I got the feeling it wasn’t a car that you love on first drive but probably grows on you over time.

Biggest concern being the light steering but the rest was nice.

Thanks, been through that and one of the first comments was about the steering. Some love them, some hate them, I’m in the middle. I think as an everyday car it might grow on me but still not 100% sure.

Not sure if the steering is the same as my Passat but i found it overly light. Changed to Sport mode and its lovely now. You can change it without changing adaptive dampers / DSG mode in the options on the infotainment system.

If it’s kind of like my 2014 Superb (boring diesel, owned it 9 years) you won’t be disappointed!
Best car i’ve owned (previously BMWs/Saabs/etc)

If you don't want to drive it in Sport all the time to weight up the steering, you can configure Individual mode to just be Sport steering and Normal/Comfort for everything else.
