OBD reader

I self service my car (A6 Allroad) and would like to obtain a code reader that will diagnose faults, re set service intervals and do other stuff like permanently switching off the infernal stop start and the other annoying function that turns off the engine when I briefly jump out to close the gate.

Ideally it would have a universal function as well so I can also use it on my Elise

Is there such a thing and any recommendations?

OBD11 and VCDS should be able to disable SS. Cheapy OBD readers can't do coding that I'm aware of.
