VW Digital service history - dealer codes
Discussion
Hi - I've been looking at a used Passat from an independent dealer - they have a service history print out for the car but it just mentions inspection service or oil service (which I understand) but the other entries are "workshop Remark" with no other details - any idea if this is just a generic term for anything other than routine servicing?
Also the history lists a dealership code next to each entry but is there anyway to establish who the dealership was (google didn't help) - as an example GB000940 has done most work but I wanted to check with them on what the workshop remarks were
Thanks

I think we are possibly looking at the same car! I found this google searching for those dealer codes too.
The vehicle in question missed its 85k service, and is due a major service now at 96k.
The dealer will tell you the vehicle has an active service plan until next year, but VW told me that all of the included services have been used, so there is no worth in that.
Just a word of warning on that front

Ahhhhh, the one I'm looking at is at V12 sports - not sure if its the same one but sounds like it. To be honest the salesman is very slow / reluctant to tell me anything (I had to push to even be allowed to see the service history) - I did email to point out the upcoming expense and would they reflect that in the asking price but no reply......

Id be pretty careful about buying cars from them - they are more like the big motoring world level of car quality.
To be fair I can deal with that if the price is right and they are honest about what I'm getting - this one is significantly cheaper than a "used approved" model would be from a dealership and my usage just means it will be used between me and my partner to put 25K a year on it commuting and taxing the kids about so the cheaper it is up front the less depreciation, but to be honest their disinterest in selling it to me unless I'm there in person is putting me off anyway13aines said:
Yep - same car... I asked the same. Suggested a reduction in price to account for the upcoming service, let alone the missed service - but they would not entertain anything unless I was in-person, and I am not going to make a 6 hour round trip to not come to a deal...
Its sold now (they emailed and asked me if I was still interested despite ignoring me ask on what the bottom line was on it) - did you buy it 13aines?Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
