Transporter T6 Paint

Bought an old work van (2019, 24k miles) and it has had some cosmetic work done, thats fine, but there are some areas that concern me. Bought from a dealer (VW commercial) to convert into a camper.

Had it 3 days and finally had a good look over it.

Are these sorts of things normal or have I got a Lemon? Or am I being pathetic. FWIW I knew this wouldn't be an enthusiast owned sports car. So are they all like this?

Pictures attached to try show the following:

Rust on lower sliding door and near the petrol cap
Discolouration/colour mismatch between passenger door and 'rear panel' (may not show up well in photos)
Chipping paint in the gutter/seams where the window is
Above the passenger door there appears to be a weld mark that has been painted, unsure if this is a seam and thats where something has been resprayed at some point, in fact thinking about it the flaking paint on the roof suggests something was dropped on it and a new a pillar was welded in?

Edited to add that the passenger door doesn't line up right and was blatantly once a dark colour and resprayed white. Same for the front quarter panel next to the door.

I think this is too badly repaired for me to forget about.

Looks suspect to me. Stonechips and dents are to be expected, even rust where doors have hit walls on opening, but I can't really make sense of what's going on with yours.

I don't know my way around the T6 specifically well enough to know it's fables, but for a 5 year old van with such low mileage, some of that looks particularly suspect and worrying.

The paint flaking/cracking along the roof seam is of particular note as is the 'welded seam' which appears to have been touched up. The other minor bits appear to be "business as usual", but very poor form if that was bought from a VW main dealer. I would hazard a guess from the limited information / photos, that it's had quite a shunt and been repaired poorly.

I would suggest you get these photos in front of the dealer principal ASAP with a letter of complaint and a view to handing it back and/or rectification at their cost....but I personally wouldn't be wanting the latter as I suspect below the surface there are some nasties hiding from the poor repair job.

These vans take a beating especially if they were delivery vehicles beforehand.
The paint is crap on them I find, our T5 has similar stone chips/rust to exposed edges etc.

I think this specific example is WELL BEYOND a typically battered and bruised delivery vehicle, especially at the mileage shown.

This is almost certainly poorly repaired crash damage, which is already failing in areas.
