Has anyone got any experience of the IHI turbo supplied by Jabbasport, £995 seeems bloody expensive.

Is it worth the cost or has anyone purchased a similar produce elsewhere?

Cheers

Most likely talking about the 1.8 20v as this is jabba's main speciality arent many 2.2 20v engines about on the scene if any yet

I know some guys with Elises that have 1.8T in the back with the Jabbasport turbo.....making 330bhp/300lbft very well ...seems like agood conversion ...and reliable too..one of them is a race car

Alternatively a lot of 1.8T owners are converting to the GT28RS (do a search on the net), good for over 350bhp.

not many 2.2 conversions is what I meant - if you have done it, then get in the magazines as they havent covered any yet.

I could be boring now and say mine and yertis's 2.2 20v turbo's are the (far superior IMO) 5 cyilinder engine. But i won't.

You could but it wouldnt help much in the grand scheme of what this thread is about!

As has been pointed out Clubgti.com, vwvortex and also dubforce.net are all good points of reference if you want info on this conversion.

Maybe also try edition38.com
