After 2 conversations with local VW parts desk, and multiple unanswered emails, can anyone help?

I'm looking for a specific part for a VW T5 Transporter

It's the little body panel underneath the filler flap, on the B pillar.
(Not the filler cap flap, it's a static piece underneath)

It's a removable piece, held on by a couple of torx fixings.

If anyone can share the VAG part number, or even better an online source, it would be appreciated.

I use LLLParts for diagrams. Put your VIN in it should take you to the correct drawing. I've bought from them as well but a great site for parts lists.

Dr G , thanks, but that's an aftermarket repair panel, which then needs welding to the original VW part.

(I only found this out when I bought it... )

The one I have is rusty all round, there's not enough metal to weld the panel to.

I use this all the time - and it's accurate on whether parts are available or not too, unlike lll which seems to be a good parts lookup, but availability isn't always reliable.

Really? It looks remarkably like a VW part number, and has bolt holes to attach: 7H0853289F

The image I posted was off ebay to show position.

Ah, sorry! The image you used was from the non original part, but you're completely right, the part you've linked is the missing part . Thanks !!
