Quick question on best fix, Just annoyingly got out of sons car and the wind caught door and chipped the door handle on our leased ID3 that he dropped me next too. Prob about 4mm chip.

Is the door handle plastic firstly? Just so I don’t leave it too long to allow rust if it is metal? Convinced it’s plastic though.

Then what’s easiest fix? Chipsaway?

Thanks in advance and yes I will hang my head in shame for not holding onto door while it’s windy as fook.

Just touch it in with a touch up pen to take your eye off it and hope it’s not noticed on hand back.

If the repair isn’t up to scratch then the lease company will charge you anyway.

It’s also most always more cost effective to pay the damage charges on return.

Touch it in and leave unless it annoys you.

Smart repairer if it does (easily removable plastic piece on most cars). Assume <£100

Finance company probably won't care if it's neatly touched in: https://www.vwfsfleet.co.uk/support/bvrla-fair-wea...

...but if they do you're looking at 55 quid: https://customer.vwfs.co.uk/content/dam/bluelabel/...

Thanks for replies, so plastic piece then. Seen worse so will leave it till pick up then as doesn’t sound expensive anyways. Or get it touched up nearer time. Cheers
