VW dealer service options - 2016 Polo TSI
Discussion
I'm a bit perplexed about service options on the VW website- they don't have an option for a 'full service' as I would call it- air filter, fuel filter etc. You can pay more for them to look at more bits of the car- 'supplementary scope' but this doesn't include any servicable parts.
Am I missing something obvious? The car is at 55K miles, last couple of years has just had oil and filter service at VW. tempted to go 'full service' and get the timing belt done at the same time at an independent garage. I could phone the local VW dealer up but judging by previous experiences I'm unlikely to get a useful answer.

The term "full service" is a colloquialism and not used by VW (or most garages) because it's vague.
I don't know exactly which model your Polo is but its service schedule will look pretty much like this:
Oil service 1yr/9k
Oil & inspection service 2yr/18k
Pollen filter 2 years
Brake fluid 2 years
Air filter 40k
Spark plugs 40k
Timing belt 140k
If you genuinely want everything done you need to ask for an Oil & inspection service with spark plugs, air filter, pollen filter, and brake fluid.
You're best placed to look through its service history and using the above guide figure out what's due and ask for those things accordingly.
