Mk7.5gtd heater intermittent and noisy

Hi me again. Beginning to think ze Germans are still at war with us by fooling us into thinking their cars are well made
My lads golf heater fan isn’t great works and then doesn’t and it’s noisy
Is the fan motor perhaps is it
An easy fix

I replaced mine in my old B5 Passat which lived behind the glove box after it had the same symptoms. About £30 for the part and a lot of patience to get the old motor out and squeeze the new motor in.

Try google and there may be some how to instructions.

Cant comment on what its like to change but make sure if you do replace it you use a quality part not an ebay special.

They're just under/behind the glovebox, and pretty straightforward to change. There's a couple of videos on Youtube of people doing exactly this.
