How much current should the car draw from the battery in sleep mode?

I put an amp meter in series with the minus terminal of the battery, lock the car and wait ~30 secs for it to go into sleep mode (the leds next to the locking pin switch from a fast flash to a slow flash).

Once it's in sleep mode, it draws around 73mA - this seems a bit high? I seem to recall it should drop down to around 22mA is that correct?

I've checked for interior lights staying on (boot and glove box) and they remain off.

Does 70mA seem high?

You might need to wait longer to see if there is a further "deep sleep" mode with even lower parasitic drain (I don't know whether there is).

Regardless, your 70mA should mean the car can be left for more than 40 days without draining a 70Ah battery.
