VW Passat (estate) front passenger seat fold flat

Hi, just bought a new to me 2018 Passat GT and reading the manual have seen that the front seat should fold flat, but I can't seem to make it work. There is a lever but it seems to do sweet FA. Is this function not possible on seats with a heated function, or should it work on any?
