I have a timing belt and waterpump to change on my wife's 10 year old 180000 mile Tiguan next weekend.
I don't have a Haynes manual for this car.
You tube videos are good but I've very poor reception in the garage.
Can anyone point me towards a step by step document for doing this?, if it came with illustrations and torque settings all the better.
TIA

Depends on your engine code but a quick search would bring up loads of info.
Is it a common rail or pd engine?
Common rail below

There are methods online to download youtube videos for offline playback, or youtube premium also offers this service? worth doing if you've found a helpful video

It's not free but you can pay to get dealer level instructions from VW, I saw it on Volkswizards latest vid where he services a TT.

I believe thats the link - https://erwin.volkswagen.de/erwin/showHome.do

Failing that ask a local garage if they have Autodata - in exchange for some Hob nobs!

Got it done. Watched a few YouTube videos beforehand and it was quite straightforward.

Nice work, did you use locking tools?

Bargain, what mileage did you change it at? My cr140 Scirocco was done before I got it around 125k, it's now done 144k, was only 2 years ago.

It's 10 years old with 181000 miles on it now. 1st belt was done around 100000 about 5 years old. Noticed it was losing a little coolant and obvious sign of fluid leak on the bottom belt cover so figured it was about due another change.
