This is a group buy with AmD|http://www.amdtechnik.com/ for engine remapping. The prices quoted below are for the 1.8T engine varieties. Please ask me for prices of other cars.

We need a minimum of 10 people to get these discounted prices so the more people that sign up the better!

If you want to be included in this group buy please e-mail me through my profile with:

Your real name

The car you have

The upgrade you want

---------------
OPTIONS

1. One Click Generic (Normally £499+Vat) GB=£499 Inc Vat SAVE £87.32

2. One Click RR (Normally £750+Vat) GB=£650 Inc Vat SAVE £231.25

3. RR Remap (Normally £550 + Vat) GB=£470 Inc Vat SAVE £176.25

4. Serial port generic map (later cars only) GB=£400 Inc Vat

2. Same as the One Click but the map is done on the rollers and any custom tweaks needed will be made and loaded onto the One Click box.

3. Standard (Custom) RR remap, required for older cars as its a chip change, otherwise serial upload on later cars.

4. Cheapest option of a Generic Map, serial uploaded. This essentially the Generic One click map without the one click box.

Hi Marc,

When do you need people to confirm by?

Cheers

There is no deadline yet. As soon as we have enough people then AmD will open the offer for a few weeks. If you book with AmD during this period then you will get the discounted price. You don't have to actually visit AmD during this time, only make your booking.

As soon as you are ready to commit then let me know and then I'll announce when we have the numbers and it's going ahead.

I've already asked AmD for a price on this one so as soon as I get it I will post it here.

The prices for this will be the same as the 1.8T prices above.

I would be interested (depending on how long it takes to get the group buy together)

Have you thought about posting on the TT-forum?? Lots of 1.8T users there and they are always keen for a group buy (if you want I can do it for you and link them here)

Thanks. The main thread about this is on audi-sport.net so feel free to put up a link on the TT forum.

The group buy is most likely to be running by the end of the month but AmD are quite flexible as to when you actually visit to get the work done. If you want to join in just send me your details.

Marc,

If you go for the one-click generic am I correct in thinking that you dont need to visit AMD and that they can simply post the box to you and you download yourself?

With the generic one click I believe you get sent the box from a supplier, then you send it to AmD to load the code onto, then they send it back to you and you load it onto your car.

Could you confirm that with AMD? If this is the case then I would be interested, but if I have to go to AMD it can be a bit far considering my current location (my username gives the clue!!)

AMD - good, bad ?

Granted, this does sound pretty bad, although I am not sure that this is a completely impartial point of view when "Said good personal friend is now sleeping with my ex-fiancée"!

I've heard enough good things about them in the Audi community to have confidence that they will provide a good service, especially on something relatively basic like a remap.

Personally I wouldn't use them - that was a decision I made about 18 months ago when they were extremely blase when I called about some work on my 4motion.
Didn't inspire much confidence at all.

Fair enough. Guess it depends who you talk to. There's always Jabba or Revo or QST etc so you pays your money and takes your choice.
