Both my key fobs for my 68 plate Golf are playing up.
Changing the battery seems to work in one but it's intermittent. I get "change battery" message on the dashboard display.
I don't want to be caught out one day and not be able to lock/unlock the vehicle.
Where is the best place to buy new fobs and have them programmed to the car system ?
Trying to avoid the main dealer.

A VAG specialist or car key supplier will be able to code them for you, but the key itself will be ordered from VW.

I'm not aware of copy keys available for MK7 but they are for a lot of older models so possible some are around.

You just use the key, yes? Fits in the concealed lock.

Yes, if it's keyless, pop the cover off the passenger lock with a key blade into the slot undeneath, Alarm will go off when you open the door. Hold the key near where the ignition switch would be and the car can be started.

My Audi A4 had a blade key in the key fob but the Golf fob hasn't. My car isn't keyless entry, it's a 68 plate.
I can't see any hidden keyhole in any of the door handles.

Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IM8Wh2s_ALo (seems to be on drivers door, I thought they were always on passenger).

Can you post of pic of your key fob? If it hasn't got the button to flick out the blade then the only other one I've seen had a grooved bit you slide and you can then pull the key out.

Thanks very much, I will go outside and look for that hidden lock, if it ever stops raining.
