New VW Golf GTD anyone?

Seriously tempted by a 'new' dealer registered Golf GTD available locally. Ran a Mk7 GTD estate some years ago and and it was a good car. Has anyone got one of these and what are your experiences? I am worried about the perceived quality of the Mk8 over the previous version and what 200 bhp is like on a front wheel drive car.

Not a GTD but a 150bhp diesel.
Have they changed the interface screens yet? Do try them out whilst driving to see if you can!
Power takes about 3 seconds to come through after you press the gas, so it's all-or-nothing.
