Audi S5 B9 - brake upgrade recommendations?
Discussion
My S5's brakes feel fine around town and at low/moderate speeds, they have some good initial bite (or maybe just a little over-servoed). However from higher speeds they don't inspire much confidence, after the initial braking they feel a bit wooden with poor progression, braking harder feels like it doesn't really result in any increase in braking performance.
The car's on an 18-plate and I bought it approved-used from a main Audi dealer back in July so I don't have any idea what's on there currently. I suspect it's whatever the cheapest option was whenever the brakes last needed doing. As such I'm thinking of upgrading the discs and pads on the front and pads on the rear...unless there's any significant benefit to upgrading the rear discs too? I will have the brake fluid changed at the same time too - would appreciate any recommendations for brake kit bundles etc. I don't need anything track-capable, just looking for better stopping power and linear progression from higher speeds.

If there's life in the discs I'd start with good fluid and a more aggressive pad. Could be that it's never been used in anger the pads are all glazed up from town driving.
349mm disc and fat caliper so plenty large enough. You may well find you can nick bits off an RS5 for cooling if that becomes an issue.

Thanks Dr G, I had a look and the brake fluid was changed by Audi just before I bought it (back in July) so that probably doesn't actually need changing. The discs have minimal lip on them so I'm wondering whether they've already been changed once as well (although the car's only on 38k so I'd have expected not). Shall I just chuck a set of something like EBC Yellows on there and see how it goes? My thinking was that if it's all coming apart anyway I might as well put better discs on at the same time...
