Best plan of attack Audi A6 EGR Cooler.

Hi all, looking for some advise on a Audi A6, (3.0TDI V6, CDUD engine).

The problem is it's using coolant, we looked over it today and we're pretty sure the EGR cooler is leaking as the engine is dry as a bone. I'm going to start it in a couple of weeks and I know it's going to be a nightmare. So wanted any heads up advise before tacking it. I've had a quick look up and found differing views on how to gain access.

Has anyone on here replaced one and how did you get on?.... do I need dynamite?
