VW extended warranties for plug in and Electric cars

As my VW golf GTE will soon be out of the manufacturers warranty l though l would enquire about extending it. On enquiring at my local dealer l was told that VW don’t offer this but suggested that l could get this with the AA.
This really surprises me, don’t VW have faith in their Electric and Plug in cars.

Have you tried on the VW website?

Just tried a 67 plate 48k mile GTE and it was £355/year for the full cover with £100 excess.

Seems pretty reasonable to me.

It's an Allianz warranty sold as VW, but it is the "official" VW extended warranty.

Thanks for the replies, yes the local dealer does not seem to understand what VW have on offer.
