Skoda Kodiaq 1.5 DSG
Discussion
Pal of mine just bought a very low mileage 2020 Skoda Kodiaq with the 1.5 petrol and DSG. Second day of driving it went into limp home mode twice and also pinged on the engine management light.
Hooked up my scan tool and got the same results as the AA which was the rear camera that had been retrofitted by dealership was showing as not being calibrated and a B20000 ICU "Control Unit Faulty" code pinged up.
It was towed back to the dealership and after the mechanic checked it they said it was the turbo actuator rod had failed. But she wanted to reject the car and then they said it wasn't this and initially presumed it would be based on experience that 95% of the time it would be this (that's worrying) and now apparently it just needs a software update.
She's lost faith as it's sounding a little fishy, but I was wondering has anyone heard or experienced anything similar? I can't find any reference to supposed ECU updates for this car. Mind it's not a manual that had the kangaroo issue, but has a DSG.

Search Skoda 1.2 TSI turbo actuator. Same thing.
Revised part and software update.
Not really grounds for rejection. The TSB on it (and all TSBs actually) show a statement that should match the symptoms and/or customer complaint, but also a process to verify this. Sounds likely they've taken an initial look and found closely matching symptoms, but need diagnostic time to confirm.

Thanks. I couldn't find the TSB, but I'm seeing people saying replacement actuators didn't fix it and they had to get new turbos?!! This is the 1.2. Revised part and software update.

I would have preferred to see something specifically on the 1.5 though, as I believe it replaced the troubled 1.4? Will it fail again in 20k miles?
I can understand wanting to reject when after having the car for one day and then it has to be towed back to the dealership.
