VW Golf GTI mk7.5 Brakes

I’m sure this question has been asked time and again but I’m looking for front disc and pad recommendation for my 2017 GTI. Cars used for some fast yet sensible road driving and the odd track day (4-6 a year). Somehow it’s now being used on the odd school run as my wife prefers a smaller car when she’s running late due to it being easier to park, the alloys say otherwise though so I want something usable too.

VW wanted to charge me £550 which I found to be rather top end so I’m going to take it to my local Indy and hope what ever you recommend come from ECP or wherever else he’ll get them from.

Also, are braided hoses worth it? TIA

I run Brembo Maxx Extra drilled discs and matching pads. Nicer bite than standard, not noisy or dusty.

Often get a good deal on Autodoc.
