I may have the opportunity to acquire a Golf Clipper...to the moon mileage but looked after fastidiously. I'm not particularly mechanically minded but really fancy a weekend toy.....am I walking into a money pit??!

Not really. I bet the roof will be the most spendy bit if it needs replacing?

Mine had a litre of oil every 1000 Mile's but all okay so long as you stayed on top of it....

Doing your own spannering you'll be fine, paying someone else it could end up expensive.

Whilst it's a simple enough car they're old enough (and rusty enough) to need very regular fettling.
