8Y RS3 - Order book reopening

Does anyone know when ordering will reopen? There are hundreds of overpriced sub 1year old cars on autotrader. I would be interested to know when the possibly of buying the car at RRP will flatten them!

Rumour is that a facelift will be announced 3Q23 so soon ish. Not even sure they will build another RS3 though as the TTRS is canned as is the R8.

The second hand information I have says that all of the production (certainly in RHD) up to the projected facelift is sold. Would be sensible to expect availability soon after the "normal" A3.

Unless you're incredibly specific about what you want there are cancelled orders about (should you need a new car immediately), I've had messages on 3 already this week.

I've noticed the RS3 is back on the UK configurator now, albeit with less options and colours sadly. I assume this is setting the scene for facelift orders soon.

I guess this means facelift and new orders early next year now. I'm the mean time the stock of 1year old / nearly new cars is getting larger and larger. They are going to be deep underwater if they don't sell.
