Has anyone managed to get anywhere with the known VAG software issues of recent years around 'ACC not available' and 'SOS not available' ?

I've had 6 Months of misery with a 2021 Octavia. I have a steering wheel on back order as these are not being made at the moment.
I am not convinced a new steering wheel will fix the issue anyway.

Skoda themselves do not care and are very dismissive, just apologising.

This car is going to have to go if it can't be resolved as I don't know how much longer I can stand the constant error when driving.

This is the issue, I assume it is all VAG cars:

If the ACC is disabled has it also disabled the emergency brake function etc as presumably uses same sensors? If so, then car should be handed back to dealer as unfit / unsafe / does not comply with safety regs?

The brake function still works as the error is related to the sensors in the steering wheel to make sure you're still holding the wheel.

After complaining to the Brand Manager, a steering wheel has magically turned up so I am booked in to get it replaced now.

Hopefully that will resolve it but not 100% convinced.

No idea what the cause of the 'SOS not available' is, it could be simply the phone signal dropping out.

I am the same issue with 21 Golf r MK8 seond hand I have had it 3 months
The sat nav keeps on rebooting
loads of error messages
I have it going in next Tuesday for two days and I am asking them to check if the software is updated
But its party piece is to drop its coolant in one go its happened twice there was a recall in the US and Australia
The radiator can become loose and lead to coolant loss
Hopefully they can fix it because currently I cannot use race mode because i worried it may lose coolant

Sorry to hear, this specific issue impacts at least VW and Skoda cars from 2021. Mine is 21 also.

The software should update by itself over the air. A few issues have been resolved on my car since 2021.
However, sometimes the software update introduces new bugs, the latest with mine is the car self locking after a few seconds even with the doors open.

Contact VW and get them to extend the warranty for at least 1 Year free of charge.
These 2021 VAG cars will be a nightmare for future owners.

For any future reference, do not buy a 2021 onward Skoda with this kind of steering wheel:
