First Audi and am very impressed!

Having read generalisations how boring they are to drive e.g. Vs BMWs, it's nice and engaging with the heavier steering mode and s-tronic on the paddles.

Same bhp as my 993 coupe but delivered in a very different, more 'punch in the back' way due to the turbo. Feel ownership of said car gives me a half-decent right to defend the Audi's driving engagement. Also corners nice and flat, is black edition with sports suspension.

Tech isn't exactly cutting-edge but good enough for us. Mpg currently 43mpg...was 28mpg in our previous 2.0 diesel Evoque!

Colour is Tornado Grey. Nothing grey about it, is actually quite similar to Porsche colour GT Silver, but with a bit more blue in it.

Few pics:

Looks really nice. The C7 facelift shape has to be one of Audi’s best designs. Much better than the garish looks of it’s successor.

Really like these! I have just got an older Q5 but with the 3.0tdi and s tronic. Great engine in my opinion smooth and lazy but also capable of getting a proper move on. I am getting slightly less mpg than you overall but think its decent considering the smoothness, punch and size of the cars!

Never been an audi fan but am becoming one over time.

That looks great. I have been looking at 3.0 Quattro a6 avants as they look a brilliant all rounder. However I have made so with an A3 for the last 7 years so I think an a6 might be a bit big and unneeded for me. I’d imagine a bigger car must ride better though.

Look after the gearbox and it'll do big miles. They're very good cars.

I need to get the S-tronic gearbox oil changed, that's for sure! Shifts are smooth, no issues, but I don't have a record of it being changed

I love these and want one, but the S Tronic does concern me rather!

They are generally good. Service them when required, and don't ask them to suffer abuse from a crap remap you'll be fine. The flywheels work just like those on a manual and do wear too.

Anymore info on this? I have just bought a 13 plate q5 with the s tronic, it has been serviced but anything else I should be looking out for? The chain has also been replaced on mine not sure why though hopefully just maintenance?
