In the market for a 2008-2012 B8 S5 V8… specs to look for?

So, just wondering what things I should be looking for to get the most out of my purchase. Did this generation come with the option of a sports diff? Is adaptive cruise control only available after a certain year of model? Etc. FYI, I will be going for the auto option - so would love to hear some reviews of the auto box if possible. Smooth/sporty when you need it to be?

Also, just wondering in: I know tuning an NA is a bit of a mission in general - but are there gains to be had on the top end? Nice free flowing exhaust and intake able to add a few wheel horses? (After a carbon clean of course haha). Because this guy apparently gets 350wbhp after some bolt ons… https://youtu.be/dZ7kHA9UNZE . Being able to get something like 320wbhp would be nice though.

Budget is 12k. Should be able to get a pretty high spec one with relatively low mileage with that, right?

Also, apparently it’s possible to retrofit wireless apple car play into the factory infotainment on some models. What do I need to look for in order to make that easy? Something about a different aux setup or something?😅

Can't comment on the V8 models as mine is the V6 but, regarding the Carplay - I can highly recommend the kit from 'Unique Auto Developments' https://unique-ad.co.uk/product/audi-a4-carplay-bo... easy enough to install and works very well, integrating almost like the OEM in my Wife's Q2, plus it's got an optional touch screen which helps overcome the dual functionality of the rotary selector.

I also added a reversing camera at the same time which was plug and play into the carplay box.
