Hi all.

My 2006 A4 cab has started juddering under acceleration. It started only on heavy acceleration but now unless I use about a quarter throttle, it kangeroos a little.

Not the clutch as only when using the accelerator.

Any clues?

Used to have a similar issue with a 2001 VW Golf GTi which I'm guessing is a similar, if not the same engine, it was remedied by changing spark plugs, so I'd look at this first or maybe/and/or coil packs.
It was only a relatively short term fix though, so much so I used to keep a set of plugs in stock paperbag

Cheers Steve. Will swap the plugs over the weekend.

I strongly recommend buying a fault code reader before throwing parts at problems like this. Either Audi/VAG specific or even a basic Bluetooth OBD2 reader.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am struggling with my usual OBD readers on the Audi. The generic ones have worked on everything from my Lotuses, Aston, Mercs etc but for some reason do not seem to like VAG cars.

Any recommendations for a not silly money one that might work?
