Quick question, do VW's of this vintage come with an actual owners manual ?
Daughter has just bought her first car, 2017 polo, I was doing the dad thing and showing her around the controls and warning lights, asked her to get the manual as we had a tire pressure warning light so good bit of practice for her. No manual. Dealer telling her it's all on line.
Cant be right can it ? Ridiculous if so. (Maybe I'm just getting old and out of touch)
Have looked on ebay and owners packs available .

Dunno. I have a Golf of same vintage and it does have a manual.

Previous owner has probably binned the manual (especially if its been a rental or pool car etc). If the dealer can't order a new manual, just download the online manual as a PDF onto a phone and its probably more useful than the book version.

OH has a 2016 Polo.
Manual is definitely in the glove box.

They are talking bs.

Should be able to download one or find one on eBay.

Pretty much what I figured in regards to dealer, my bmw has a book and on the infotainment screen. Had a look on the vw screen but nothing obvious.
Always found them handy for basic information / fault finding / operation. No doubt I'm being a dinosaur as my daughter is quite happy with it on her phone if needed

The on-line/downloadable version is usually tailored to your VIN (best case). Also it is more ‘searchable’.

Just as well there's a light to inform the driver tyre pressure is low.
I had a 2016 Polo Gti, it definitely had a manual, they're always good to flick through.

Were you able to find that service manual online?
Cheers
