Well, sure it’s powerful, however the sound of the engine is not particularly exciting. The handling is amazing, given the size of the vehicle, with an excellent trade-off between comfort and accuracy. The interior quality is… pretty disappointing I would say, check out below a small video I made to show what happends when I press the dashboard:

The C8 platform interior is poor, not surprised by the dash being like that all. It is such a problem in the A6 that dealers don't try and fob you off any more. They just book you in without any kind of fight about it.
The dealer has had a second go at fixing the dashboard sqeaks, creeks and clunks in my S6, time will tell if they succeeded.
How was the gearbox? Low speed driveability?

This is old news, the dash has been a problem since this generation came out in 2019. The car the OP rented looked very new so the dash is still a problem even after 4 years of production.Audi really aren't the company they were vorsprung durch pile of poo.

and been in and around audis...
first Audi the A6 C6 interior was excellent indeed. compared to merc and to BMW it was a different class. The The C7 was a step down. still together well but not feeling the hewen from granite that the c6 was.
The C8... yeowzzer... what a disappointment... it creaks and groans and it feels sadly way behind BMW and mercedes these days.
I changed to an ateca recently and the inside of those feels above the price point, and the C8 feels way below its price point.
