Hi all. Dog carrier is a 2010 Q5. Last year on eBay I bought a set of roof bars and as you do put them in the garage. Decided to fit them today and they don’t fit. The connector, when fitted on one side aren’t wide enough to go over the other side. I can’t see anything to elongate them. The part number is correct!!!! It must be something simple but for the life of me I can’t work it out. Help!!!!!!!!

If they're like the bars I had on my RS4 there's a special tool that loosens the bracket off, you gently offer them up then ensure the spots are located before evenly tightening a bit on each side until they're tight.
