A4 deals predicament

Wondering if anyone has any input. Was ready to pull trigger on new a4 avant 40tfsi sport coming in at ~£30k on a teacher discount site so about £10k off list and just under luxury car tax rate which I’m keen to stay under. Problem is the new model is due and you have no way of knowing what price they’ll be or what new specs they’ll have and will end up with a car you haven’t ordered with a price you’re potentially not willing to pay in 5 months. Seems crazy that dealers can’t match these prices as makes getting the relevant information extremely difficult and it’s so disconcerting wasting peoples time.
