I'm looking to change the head-unit in my S3. It has a (i think) Symphony II in at the moment, which is a 2 DIN, and I need to be able to put a standard 1 DIN unit in its place.

Anyone know of a fasica adapter that will do this?

I have no idea of what other OEM stereos are fitted to A3/S3s - I'm thinking that there might be an option that gives you only a 1 DIN unit with some kind of blanking panel or storage pocket. Can anyone confirm this? If so, perhaps Audi themselves can help out?

Actually, what I really need is this lot;

A3 Kit

But you were in the right place.

Fascia adapter should be the same as Bose only affects the wiring due to the external amp I think.

Cool, I just needed to know that the kit existed.

When I changed the head unit in the 350z, I ended up paying a fortune for a fascia adapter from a US site as that was the only place that sold them in the world. The kit was fairly cheap but I got absolutely killed on the shipping and taxes.

For next time.

Get them to send you the recipt under seperate cover and ask them nicely to tick the 'gift' box

There is another way around it specifically for car parts but I cant remember it - oh, mark it warranty items, thats it...
