hi, just curious to know what speed you can get out of your cars ive not really pushed mine yet, gone about 115-120 on a clear empty road but i save my speed thrills for the bike, a friends got 1 too and he said hes had 155 out of it, i thought that seemed slightly on the optimistic side personally but is he right?,also does having the A/C on sap a great deal of power and fuel or is it not too bad?, i know obviously it will use slightly more but is it very noticible, the car does seem a fair bit thirstier than my A3 was.

Judging by my Corrado VR6 (earlier 12V version of your 24V VR6) it should be good for an indicated 155...
This will equate to high 140's (eg 148 or so)...

135 seems slightly low, my audi A3 1.8T used to just about manage 140, also Krusty i see you used to own a Tuscan, what did you think of it?, and are they as unreliable as everyone makes out? i want to buy 1 next year

I thought it was haldex 4wd- in essence FWD unless the front starts slipping.. so fairly low losses...

According to Parkers you should get 146 out of it- which is consisistent with 150-155 on the speedo..

My Tuscan never missed a beat. Like most cars you get good ones and bad ones. I'll admit that a high percentage of them were probably assembled on a Friday afternoon but they're good value now. I rate mine better than the C4S I moved to and I note that the guy I sold mine onto is selling it again. Someone will get themselves a well sorted Red Rose.
I wasn't pushing the 4motion at 135. It was happy as larry and still pulling. The best thing was the stability. I had nearly 170 out of the Tuscan and it was hard work. Front end was very light.
I'll get my RS6 de restricted one day and see how that feels at high speed. I think it'll be better than any of them.

thanks for the info on the Tuscan, also ive heard some of the Cebera V8s didnt make true bhp claimed, would you say the Tuscan was more acurate, i really want a Mk1 Tuscan S in black, im hoping next year i should be able to get 1 in the early £20k's or so,
