Hi, help needed please. I’m looking to buy a 2017 Audi RS5 and wanted to know at what age/mileage does the timing belt require changing? Are there any other things common issues with these I should be looking out for?

Many Thanks

Doesn't have a timing belt.

Listen for top end rattle from engine at idle; the ticking is normal (fuel pumps) but it should not rattle/clatter. A small number of those V6s have suffered broken lifters.

Discs last 30-40k only.

Standard specification is quite poor.

Have you seen something you like already?

Thanks Dr G for the advice

Yes I’ve seen a 2018 RS5 navarra blue, white interior, seems to have all the bells and whistles except head up display..I think!
