Hi all

First time Audi owner here, just a quick question really,

my car currently stands at;

147bhp and 270nm

ive got some figures of my local garage and there remap takes it to;

245bhp and 430nm

this seems a lot in one go, would the vehicle be able to take it as it is compleatly standard

thanks all in advance

I believe the 150bhp engine is the 190bph engine but turned down (to replace the 1.5 tsi) so the remap increase is possible.

Only thing I would say is the chassis might struggle to put that power down through the front wheels, as normally the cars are quattro at that power.

Having driven a couple of these with cheap "off the shelf" maps the slug of torque they produce quite upsets the front axle. It isn't the single best FWD chassis ever, and with +100lb/ft you'll spend a lot of time looking at the traction control light or taming torque steer.

That engine is sold with various different power outputs so unless you go loopy it will be fine with reliability, but to keep it driving nicely I'd avoid going balls out on torque. Maybe have a conversation with a tuner near to you before deciding? When it comes to going faster cheapest is never best.

I had a talk with the tuner this week, booked in for Friday. It’s a JFAutotech map

I’m gonna take it easy with it, I just wanted a little extra punch of power to get me going.

Thanks for all your advise
